Im moving into a new house here in July and no matter how hard I try my current system just will not fit in the space I have to work with.
Heres what I have:
RTi 8's
CSi 5
Monitor 40's
PSW 650 sub
Onkyo 805
Im going to have to sell the speakers and go with something MUCH smaller.Ive been looking at the Polk satellite systems. They seem pretty nice and sound pretty good to.The only thing Im concerned with is the RMS rating. All the ones Ive listened to have a 50 watt RMS rating. What else can I look at to go with my 805? Will the Polks be OK with the 105 watts the 805 has?
Like I said all the above speakers will be for sale so if youre interested let me know.
Thanks

actually, it's better to have more power than less on a speaker... If a low power amp clips (distortion caused by driving them beyond their power ratings), they can fry the voice coils... just make sure you do not drive them into distortion and you shud be fine...

Look into a pair of Usher s520's. They are very small, front ported (can be placed near the wall), have a great finish on them, are cheaper than the Rti8's, and will absolutely smoke the Rti series.

Good luck,

Just keep in mind that bookshelf speaker on a stand is going to take up nearly the same space as a slim tower. You could go 2-channel HT, or wall mount everything sans the sub.

Are you getting rid of the sub? How much do you want for it? My brother lives out in Sacramento I could send him your way to pick it up.
