I'm thinking of purchasing these Lovan Millenium (ml2cx) Speaker stands for my RTi6 (surrounds).

Does anyone have anything to say about:

1. Lovan Products
2. TheSimpleTVStandStore
(these stands are also available same ridiculous price at AudioVideoFurniture - which seems to have a worse google store rating...

Check the dimensions. The top plate is probably not large enough to accommodate the RTi6's. Nice stands, though.

Early: Top plate is 7x5.5 (one of the biggest I've seen - odd, given dims of most non-weeny speakers). This leaves about 3/4in extra each side, 4" left to hang off back (not as bad at sounds since nearly all the weight is in the front)

Not ideal, but haven't seen much better after 6 months search... Fortunately not in vulnerable location.

I currently have the 6's precariously balanced on a 5x5 top plate (single pole, non-sand filled stands) - Actually not as unstable as you'd expect - balance achieved thru some very careful placement. Been ok so far even during serious aerobics sessions - but don't want to risk much longer.

Nice looking stands. How about if you use that sticky putty that teachers use to put posters up on walls? IIRC, it won't leave any residue...

Those are nice looking stands. My LSi9's and LSiFX's sit on Plateau leadshot filled stands. The top plate is 6 X 6 and the footprint of those speakers is bigger than the RTi6's. I have never had a problem with stability.

Another product to try, one that I use in the home is quake putty:

Works well.

BTW - I've got a pair of Sanus Natural Foundation 30" Black stands to sell (6x6 top plate) - very cheap. PM me if interested.

I've got a set of super-cheap Sanus Basic Foundation 24" stands with 6" square top plates that handle RTi6 with ease.

Behold the wonder of low-quality webcam:

Here's some other stuff that might work, too (http://www.safeandsecurebaby.com/Quakehold-Gel-by-Quakehold-pr-16544.html)

I bought those stands for my LSI 9's about a year ago and love them. They look great, are stable, top base is adequate, and the back tube conceals the speaker wire nicely. The glass looks really good. These are high quality stands with an elegant look. They're not cheap, but what the heck, its not like you're going to ever need to replace them.

Thanks John, very helpful. Did you go with the black or silver? I'd normally prefer silver, but really hard to tell from online pics how good the finish would look.

I got the black ones since all my electronics are black and they look good with the 9's. The black poles have a flat finish. I was initially a little hesitant to order them on line, but once I got them I had no regrets.
