Just looking for impressions from anyone using this amp/speaker combo.

I got the amp a few weeks ago, and at 125wpc, I've been very happy with how it works with my rti8's. I just ordered a pair of 10's (arriving today), and wondered what people of it with 10's. I've heard the 10's are bit more power hungry...does the lpa1 have enough to make them sound good?

I'll be using my 8's as surrounds and a csi5 is on order. My setup will be a 20x20 area on one end of my rectangular basement...open down 1 side.

Can't really talk about how they might sound different than the 8's or the difference in the power requirements.

I can say I have no complaints with my LPA1 and my 10's. My room is a bit smaller than yours but they sound fine even when I switch to Pure Audio on the Onkyo for music.

I have an RTi setup with RTi10s as fronts, CSi5 center, FXi3 surrounds, and RTi6's as surround backs. It is driven by an LPA-1 (the RTi6's are on the 50wpc channels). My room is about 15 ft x 30ft. The LPA-1 drives the RTi10s beautifully. I've compared it to a few 200wpc amps and really didn't perceive much difference - even at volumes in excess of 95dB. Even in multichannel stereo mode the system can be cranked to ear splitting levels without a hint of distortion.

In summation I think you'll be pleased.
