Looooong story short:
After a power failure, our Xbox 360 takes foreeeeeeeeeeeevvvvvvvver to reconnect. We're talkiing HOURS !!
The error message we get is:
"Wireless Adapter Disconnected"
Well .... the wireless adapter (Microsoft branded) is NOT disconnected, so ...
???????
We've tried the old "shut the 360 down normally , disconnect the wireless adapter, than reconnect " routine (and ALL variants thereof) and still ....
"The Wireless Adapter is Diconnected"
Our wireless router (Netgear) doesn't seem to be the problem nor our DSL modem (Speedstream).
We've looked up the network address stuff, the gateway stuff, the who's-your-daddy stuff and tried to manually enter that into the 360 and .....
"Network Not Found, Wireless Adapter is Disconnected".
:(
If left alone, the 360 will "magically" find the Microsoft Network Adapter by itself after about 10 HOURS !
We do use ..... uhm ..... either WEP or WPA security (whichever is the one that works :o) but I don't think that's a problem as it appears that the 360 itself can't see that it has a MICROSOFT network adapter plugged into its GD ARSE !!!
.... sorry. So .... anybody have any sort of an idea as to the cause of this problem ? Is there a way to force the 360 to recognize the MICROSOFT network adapter ?
Should I go up on the roof with the deer rifle (my theory) or will I have to merely resort to sitting here with my thumb up my .... nose ..... becoming bored ........ restless ..... posting dancing videos in the Clubhouse forum .....
....
So, any help will be appreciated.
If nothing else, does anyone have Bill Gates' home address ? I desire to thrash him severely (but in a positive, constructive way).
