What a fun enjoyable movie. Good action, good humor, decent story and loved the modern rock music. Helgeland did a great job and putting this film together.
The A/V on the dvd is also excellent.
Peace Out~:D

I couldn't accept the modern touches. Did I see one of those foam fingers in the crowd? Not in the scene where they are singing "We Will Rock You". I think it was the one after the dance (where I was expecting them to break out into the Macarena or at least The Robot).
If you can get past this, it IS a pretty fun movie.

I wasn't that impressed with the movie. I didn't care for the modern stuff and found the storyline lacking and predictable at places (not that I was expecting something spectacular). Overall thought it was just OK. However, that chick was a fox.

I found the actress that played the female black-smith better looking than the lead actress (the fox).
Did any of you watch the clip at the end of the credits?
Peace Out~:D

The blacksmith chick was pretty good looking, but she was no match for the fox! What was the clip at the end of the credits???

Anyone get naked in this, or is this just another demo disc waste of hollywood money?

I can't believe I'm in a thread about "A Knight's Tale," a film wherein the action takes place in the 14th century, and the soundtrack features rock songs.
Hold on, I'm going to go get involved in the "Mummy Returns" thread, too.

Modern Rock songs and a foam finger. Wow, that must have been by mistake, (feel the sarcasm), duh that is what made the movie --- {and this is a big one} ENTERTAINING. Later

Watched 'Knight's Tale' on BluRay yesterday. WOW!!! What a difference from DVD!!! Image quality is superb, even compared to the upconverted DVD. Soundtrack is AMAZING. I love all the songs, plus the track is UNCOMPRESSED PCM. Awesome experience and a great movie!

It's not an important movie. Good popcorn flick. I certainly wouldn't classify it as a train wreck, but to each their own. I have the Superbit DVD and the sound quality is quite good on it....Leave it to blu-ray to revive a 9yo thread. :D

Fantastic film, one of my top favorites. And yes, the Blu-ray is fantastic!

I knew such comment would come out... Why do some people always expect a serious movie that follows all historical facts, and where everything is "perfect" in their opinion? To each his own...
I find it is very entertaining for myself to watch movies like this one, Top Gun, Lethal Weapon, Die Hard, etc. once in a while. Not every movie is supposed to be God Father, Pianist, etc.
My whole point was that a great movie was transferred to BluRay and the quality of both video and sound are superb.

I have no problem with mindless action, and like all the other movies you mentioned. I just thought this one sucked. It's a risky stylistic choice, regardless of genre, to try and mix modern music with a film set 500 years ago. For me, it didn't work, nor did the predictable and pandering storyline.
Just because I didn't like something didn't mean I was judging it unfairly. It means I thought it sucked.
One of my favorite movies of all time is Big Trouble in Little China, believe me, I know a thing or two about accepting a movei despite its faults.

One of my favorite movies....

We're the sons of peasants. Glory, and riches, and stars are beyond our grasps. But a full stomach, that dream can come true.
