Hey Guys,
I missed out on WalMarts MGS4 deal but found one locally still in the box.
It comes with a bunch of sealed games. I'm not planning to play any games (or the GF would leave immediately) so I'd probably hawk them.
What do sealed games go for? Or, can you take them to WalMart / BB to get store credit?
Are these games in high demand?
MGS4
MLB 07 THE SHOW
NBA 2K7
NHL 2K7
MAJOR LEAGUE 2K7
MADDEN 07
VIRTUAL TENNIS
Oh, and an extra remote, what would that go for?

All of the 07 games in regards to sports are basically worthless in the eyes of the gamers that would like those titles. Stores won't give much either, as 08 (and in some instances 09) is out or right around the corner. MGS4 should go for a decent bit, but I would expect it to come with a proprietary bar code that shows it is part of that box set (preventing you from exchanging at BB or Walmart.) I might be wrong, but your best bet is probably to sell those guys online.
Controllers are expensive, so you would do well there (I'd bet you could get 45 shipped out of it.) If you mean the BT remote, then those retail for 25, so you'd probably be able to squeeze 20 out of it.

okay, so maybe $20-$30 for the sport games or something?
Thanks for the info. I haven't owned a game console since N64 :)

My friend traded in NHL 07 to buy NHL 08. They gave him $10 for it.
If they are unopened and not a part of a box set your best bet would be to return them to walmart and say they were given to you as a gift and you don't have the receipt.

07 sports games go for $10-15 brand new at most retailers on clearance. MGSC would probably get you $30-40; as Circuit City is/was doing a deal were MGSC4 was $50 plus a free $10 gift card.

Cool, thanks for the info. Just FYI, got the PS3 80gig today. Haven't touched a console in FOREVER, but this thing was a breeze to set up. Still probably have a long way to go, but controller works, SACD works, wifi hooked up, BR works, etc.
Couldn't be happier. Need to figure out how to get digital music on it and integrate it into my HT system (just went HDMI to TV for ease of audio/video hookup to check it out).
The PS3 has got to be the best deal in audio/HT. I've spent $500 on so much lesser objects. DVD, BR, SACD, online media, etc. . . a steal even if you never put a PS3 game in it.

Two quick PS3 noob questions.
I have it hooked using HDMI to TV with optical to receiver in main room. Good to go there.
My bedroom is only 20-30 foot down the hallway, and it would be great to have that TV hooked up as well. Where could I find a 25-30ft PS3 component + stereo cables? I found tons online, but most are 10ft.
Also, would the wireless controller (Dualshock 3) work from that distance? If not, I could still have it hooked up to watch BR in the bedroom, which would be nice.

I believe it should work with the blutooth at that range; I'm not sure about 30 ft component cables; I haven't found any that long online. I can say though even if you get it to work, the difference (at least for me) between component video and HDMI is DRAMATIC to say the least.
Component and HDMI are about the same when both inputs are properly calibrated, maybe you're thinking composite?
Andy, can you hook the output to your receiver and run 30ft cable from the receiver to the other TV? That way you wouldn't need a long PS3 cable.

That might work. I'll go that route if I move forward with this venture.
Can't find a place to take these games back. Guess I'll be posting them in the FS shortly.
