Anybody have any experience with the quality of the KLH GRN800(GRN-800) Rock speakers? (http://shop.bjs.com/viewproduct.htm?productId=11855757) I bought them about a year ago at BJs for about $80 (before I became polkified) and not sure if I should hand them down to my Brother or find a use for them. Since then, I've acquired 2 sets of Polk Atrium 45s.
My experience thus far--in comparison to the Atrium 45s. While the KLHs were louder, I felt they sounded muddled more bassey-almost like a tweeter was lacking but the rocks do have a coaxial muonted tweeter. The Atriums while I had to crank up the volume, to me sounded much better-more depth to the music. My freind said she liked the rocks better.
Now I didnt do any scientific comparisons, just some quick and dirty cable switching. I realize that 'what sounds the best to me, is what I should go with, but I don't always trust my ears (had some nasal polyp issues which caused (still) some ear pressure, and thus hearing, problems).
Just trying to get some subjective opinions about KLH rock speakers.
