Does anyone currently use the new Wadia iTransport? I understand alot of veterans in the 2-channel world shun the iPod but from what Ive read during research this uses the raw data from the iPod (excuse my lack of technical lingo) and sends a high quality signal to your preamp. At a price point of $349 it's certainly a bargain considering the price of anything else that's Wadia.....just seeing if anyone had already taken the plunge. Thanks

I've been debating it. With lossless files it could very well be the ideal transport- throw on a high quality DAC and it'll probably go toe-to-toe with many much more costly CD players.

I've gotten good results with lossless files fed from my computer into my musical fidelity's DAC, but there's still a lot of noise bouncing around in the computer to muck things up; the ipod strips out everything unneeded, runs off a battery and the solidstate ones don't even have any moving parts.

I'm thinking about this one too. I've got to spend a little time hearing one before I pull the trigger though.

All going well I should have one showing up at my door tomorrow. I will let you know my thoughts on it. I am a hardcore 2 channel guy and am hoping this might help out the 'pod.
