Please only count the components that you have hooked up and use on a fairly regular basis (about once a month, sometimes more, sometimes less).

Please don't count wires or cables or power conditioners or phono cartridges, etc.

Round to the nearest choice.

Do we count each speaker as one unit?

No. One pair is one component.

Are specialty tubes considered a component?

I would prefer not. Vintage tubes could be another poll for someone to do.

Rig 1 = AR turntable, Carver C-1 pre, Carver SDA/490t CD, Carver Silver 9t monoblocks and Carver ALS Platinum speakers, all 20-25 years old.

Rig 2 = Carver C-1 pre, Carver TX-11a tuner, (2) Carver M-500t amps, pair Carver AL-III speakers all over 20 years old and an Oppo 970 SACD/CD/DVD player 2 years old. This rig is used for my home theatre rig and will eventually have a Sunfire TGP so I can hook up my LSi9's as a rear channel.

In the main hifi in the living room, everything but the cables, CD, DAC, and tt are vintage. Some of it is as old as I am (and I am pushing 50)...

Oh and I'm about 50% vintage. Speakers and Hafler amp, I'm not quite sure of the year on my B&K amp. Thats about it.

As of april 12 2008 the price of a small cup of tea at Si zhu xiang tea shop in Beijing was 2880 Yuan, or around 260 € or 410 USD.

Good luck; he generally doesn't answer questions, he only asks them. I haven't read through the thread (for various reasons), but I doubt if he even answered his own poll.
