Record sleeves

Does anyone know where I can find inner antistatic sleeves that will fit inside the original inner sleeve? Many of my records have inner sleeves with artwork and such, so I don't want to take them out. I was hoping to find a sleeve big enough to fit the record (square, not rounded bottom), yet still fit into the inner sleeve.

My MSG album from 1980 has such a setup. I guess if I can't find one of the right size, I might be able to fit both sleeves together in the outer jacket.

Back in my vinyl days I didn't even bother opening a new album until I had a new sleeve to put it in.

The thin plastic ones work fairly well, but can be a bit of a pain for tight covers or double album in one cover sets.

Those are the ones I use, but they are slightly bigger than the inside of most inner sleeves. I need a sleeve that has just enough inner width to fit the record and as small a seam as possible. This should make it just the right size to slip into the original inner sleeve.

I hate it when they put a double album into a single jacket! I have one that came that way and they also shoved a poster in there as well!

I've tried some of the round bottom ones, but they bunch up and make it a pain to insert the record.

I think you've found it! Their SLPI looks like it just fits over the record. Of course this isn't the best protection and antistatic control, but it's sure better than sliding the record in and out of cardboard or rough paper sleeves.

In the rare case that my inner sleeve is worth keeping (because of artwork or notes), I just put them in together side by side. I don't worry about getting the new antistatic sleeve inside of the old one. That way, I don't have to take out the original sleeve every time I listen and thus, it stays in better shape.

Same here. You'll tear most vintage sleeves trying to repetedly slid a new sleeve inside it, even if you can find one that will fit. I use MOFI sleeves. Best I've found. Not cheap, but worth it.

Guess I'll use both approaches. If the inner antistatic will fit in the original inner sleeve without being too tight, I'll go that way. If it's tight, then I'll go for some of the rice paper type and put them in side by side with the original.
