View Full Version : Denon 2900 Fixer Karma

First Karma here, but how hard can it be?

Denon 2900, black, bought it used for a transport. Still works perfect for DVD, but it only reads about 1/2 my CD's. I couldn't deal with that headache and it's been in my closet for almost a year.

I'd like to karma it to somebody that might be able to fix it and use it as a great universal audio player. Then again, not sure if it can be fixed. I'm busy for the next week, so around August 27th or so I'll send it out to the karma winner.

Please have at least 50 posts or 6 months on CP. No resale! This is a nice peice. I'd love to see this in a CP signature.

Very nice karma!

Not in, as I just picked up a Marantz DV-9500 uni. Someone will enjoy this, and hopefully get it back to 100%

In please...I have a friend in the Coast Guard that's an electronics tech. He might be able to get her up to specs. In any case, I could use this to replace the low end DVD player in our Den.

Perhaps it is your burning methods. I've had no problem playing cd-r, dvd+r/+rw on the 2900 that I had (and sold to Joe).

I use Yuden media almost exclusively. Sometimes, Mitsubishi (verbatim).

Always burn with Nero.

just bad luck on your part Sal, I was playing a homemadae Phish CD all day yesterday, banging out the bassline to Harry Hood on my new bass guitar.

I'd say nobody yet. The Karma Giver hasn't visited the site since the 25th. He probably got too busy and hasn't had time to sort this out.
