Heres some interesting news I found yesterday:

Of course this is right after my DirecTV HD dvr's showed up yesterday also. Oh well I can't really wait a year as am moving this month and everything is in place to make the move to HD.....

yeah, I read it this morning, interesting news. I still have 2 DTV Tivo HR10-250 fully functional (one is connected since I have several recordings worthy of re-run, but inactivated with DTV) and 3 HR20 (TV branded DVR), which I learned to like (and run fine so far). I guess next year I could be back to DTV Tivo, if it is worthwhile (they really need to boost HDD space to a minimum of 1TB by then).
