I think they are helpful for newbies that come here and don't know that others come here to unload stuff. Just a friendly buyer beware.

Wasn't the only deal gone bad recently between too "established" members.....can anyone list the rash off newbies that have been ripped off historically? Wasn't George Grand shafted by another "established" member as well?
I think some viligant policing by the concerned members of the FM, via Private Message would be sufficient if you believe the transaction to be shady. That's more one on one, personal and would at least remove some of the poisonous atmosphere from this place.

I've sent PMs to newbs who have acted in the same way. It's never made a difference, they usually just continue to clutter up the board so they can post in the FM. It's a flawed system that may as well be thrown out.

Yes that sucked that one recent deal gone bad. I guess I was confused about this place being a free market for all. I thought it was for Polk owners to share their experiences, and ideas:rolleyes:

I'll give my 2 cents since everyone else is. Senior members should be held to a higher standard of conduct than anyone else for obvious reasons. If I have to explain that then I'm talking to the wind.
A newbie (FA-Q) with a post count of 8 that makes a unprovoked out of the blue, intended to antagonize and hurt comment like this "-STFU" should be banned with no questions asked.
Just my 2 cents. I'm sure at least 50% of you will disagree with me and the other 50% are too afraid to say a word for obvious reasons.

You want to know WHY no one likes you? You're like the fat kid down the street that everybody knew when they were growing up.
