Slow, boring, predictable. Love story did nothing to enhance the film. Plot is the typical assassin wants to retire but works one more job to collect $$$ (Assassins, The Killer). Not enough action to save this film and what action there was could not save this movie. I'd rather rewatch The Professional.
Saw a preview for Max Payne. Can't wait.

Kind of related, but I heard an interview with Nicolas Cage the other day on the radio, and that guy seems like one of the biggest tools in Hollywood. What a pompous jackass.

Bob, care to expound on that a little? I've always disliked Cage, would love to have an actual reason for doing so. I've never been able to explain it, there's just something about the guy that I can't stand.

The guy DEFINES douchebaggery. Maybe it's the fact that he treats every interview like he's on Inside the Actor's Studio, when everyone knows that his thespian skills are on par with a lemur in a coma. I mean seriously... his range goes from Nicholas Cage playing Nicholage Cage to Nicholas Cage tackling Nicholas Cage.

He was on Adam Carolla's radio show last week some time. Just no sense of humor whatsoever. One of those guys who, in a conversation, refuses to give you any leeway for misspeaking.
He also started talking about how he's giving up all his worldly possessions or some crap. It was just such a load of bull, completely full of himself.
You can actually listen to the interview here (http://www.971freefm.com/episode_download.php?contentType=36&contentId=2870997).
(if that link doesn't work, go to this page (http://www.971freefm.com/pages/1247.php) and search for "Cage")

Hollywood is so full of themselves it's sickening.
It's just like that model (forgot her name) that was in Denver supporting the DNC, she was asked if she was looking forward to hearing Bill Clinton speak that night, and she promptly said, "I would never step foot in that building because the name on that building causes American to be diabetic and obese."
I wish that is all I had to worry about.
Gee Nick we are all so glad that you make so much money (off of us) that you are giving up all of you worldly possessions because, well, because you can afford to do that. Then when you realize that it sucks living like us "commoner's" you can just go right back out and buy more stuff for your home.

I like the extra long hair he is sporting in this movie. Makes him looks super Cage-y.

I liked the "National Treasure" movies...and I sort of liked "Leaving Las Vegas"...but everything else he has been involved in as a headliner has been anywhere from "ho-hum" to outright dislike for me.

Gone in 60 Seconds was a decent flick, except for that stupid thing he does with his hands...

The taxman cometh to take some of it away.

I did enjoy the National Treasure series, Gone in 60 Seconds, Next, Lord of War, The Rock, and The Family Man. Captain Corelli's Mandolin (gasp!), Con Air, and Face/Off were okay. Disliked 8mm, Windtalkers, and Ghost Rider.
Overall, I do enjoy his movies but he does make some stinkers.

NEXT was a hell of a fun movie. The Rock was good too. National Treasure movies were decent but all others sucked. I feel just like Assimilated. Not sure why, but I feel like I should hate the guy yet I still enjoyed those movies- particularly NEXT.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who HATES Cage. I've tried to like his movies, but I've given up. The same goes for George(UNIBROW) Clooney, Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn,
Too many to list.

i'm going to be totally honest i am a nick cage fan i like the majority of his movies. i expect him to be a different kind of actor. just as i expect the people of the world to have different thoughts, looks and opinions. i feel that obviously hollywood sees something in nick cage to keep giving him starring roles so he must be doing something right. i just sit back and enjoy movies period. if it's bad. it's bad but i am nick cage fan.
