I need to make a call by dinner time, asking here just on the off chance someone can add any input. I have a chance to get a refurb Philips 47" or 42" LCD TV, model PFL7432d/37. Anyone here have experience with this series?

I basically have no choice in the matter other than getting an extremely unreliable plasma fixed, but I was wondering what I might expect.

I have a 47" LCD 1080P model (47PF9441D/37). I'm am very happy with the picture quality and features. I especially like that it has a headphone jack (most don't). I has two HDMI inputs, two component and two s-video/composite inputs. I also has a USB connection to view video or pictures and a digital coax out to feed the audio from the HDMI to an AVR.

All in all, I'm happy with my purchase. It's on par with my 32" Sharp Aquos.

Thanks. I ended up going with the 42" since I figure the room's on the small side. Just in time for football season. Makes me wish Brady wasn't out.
