Music Servers experience, advice

I would like to consider buying one on these. I have looked at the Olive music server equipment and it looks great but very expensive.

Has anybody used one and what are your impressions. Any issues?

I know you can convert an Apple computer to a music server but I'm not into that.

There are just so many advantages, reduced storage space, convenience and sound quality.
