Does anyone have any thoughts on non-terminated cables/wires? I always thought spades or bannanas were the way to go but I have read where thats not necessarly so.

Non terminated is fine if you have good posts on your amp, and speakers. Terminations are just another connection. It does make it handy when moving the speakers, and with stranded wire it can help keep the wire itself clean, but if you are going with the solid wire I see no need for termination.
