This is easily my favorite film of the year, that is, until Quantum of Solace and by far the best comic book movie to come along in recent years. Yes, even better then Dark Knight.

I've got it pre-ordered and if it's not here on street day I'll be at BB's front door at 10am.

The Dark Knight was gritty and realistic. Iron Man was more of what I expected from a comic book movie - good plot, tons of action, and a few stand-up-and-cheer moments of badassery (and yes, I just made up a word - shut it!). I loved both... but strictly taken as a comic book movie, I agree with Ron.

Bluray.com is giving it a 5 out of 5. The reviewer said it's the best he has ever heard for LFE output:D

Yeah... the LFE was outstanding. I'm running a SVS 20-39CS+ and Buttkicker LFE off a Samson 1,000w amp, and we're talking room-pressurizing couch-shaking bass. I feared for the safety of my knick-knacks. I enjoyed it more at home than I did in the theater!

But then, I guess if I'd watched it in nothing but boxers in the theater, I probably would've been arrested. :D

Yeah, I'm looking forward to Ironman, but not as much as Dark Knight...unless Warner screws it up with Dolby Digital 5.1.

Ironman may be my first BluRay purchase of a movie I haven't seen before picking it up. I usually buy DVD's for two reasons. First, they are much cheaper now. Usually $15 if you buy it the day it comes out. Second, they look pretty darn good on my upconverting DVD player.

PS3 has opened my eyes to the benefits of BluRay and my collection is slowly growing. I've been waiting for the BluRay release of Ironman to watch it. No renting or downloading for me. This thread is just making it harder to wait.

If it's anything close to as good as Dark Knight I'll be VERY impressed.

On a side note, The Dark Knight release on BluRay is December 9th. Not sure if that have been posted anywhere.

I generally pay about 18 bucks for my blu rays. Why would anyone with a BR player still buy SD DVD's?

Because often you can get DVDs for 5.99$ ... and if its a comedy or drama for the wife than what the hell why not save $20-25, I dont need to see Hugh Grant's crow's feet in the corners of his eyes in HD ... Im much happier saving my money and reserving the cash toward enjoying HD for Sci-fi, Action, Horror flicks, where explosions, awesome visuals are presented.
