Thats a lot speaker for such a little room.

Do you get any kind of imaging or separation out of the speakers in that room? Seems like it would just sound like on big speaker having them that close together.

That's why I don't play it much. it was in my bed room believe it or not.The room is long but as you can see not much width

I guess you have to make do with you got. As long as you get some enjoyment out of it, thats all that matters.

Also I see you don't have all the RDO's yet. I understand that, but I would find out which tweeters are the loudest, and place the RDO's there.

I have all 8 RDO's Candy licker or what ever his name is said that the originals were better than the RDO's so I'm comparing to see can I hear a difference.

Make no mistake, even though you already did by giving anything "he" said any merit, the RDO's are far better than the 2000's.

Listening to his advice will lead down the wrong path. Do yourself a favor, save the headaches and use the RD0's. I don't how you could properly tell in a room that small anyways. Beautiful speakers and we all have different things to work with but that room is horrible for those speakers. Not trying to be detrimental, but having those speakers with those amps in that room is a shame. :o

I love you guys but agree with you all. it is a small room width wise :( I guess I need to put these boys back in storage. as for candy liker he doesn't seem well like here. I'm a newbie and trying to learn everything I can about audio and especially Polk Audio

Let me say again I think I need to replace either the bass drivers in the right speaker or the X-Cross less output.....But All the drivers are working in the speaker in question

They are already back up to the rear wall if that's what you mean....the bass is deep. I Can't wait to put these bad boys in a larger room and listen like I Suppose to.

I see you have been busy. Well what the guys said is right, given that, except for maybe Doro I am one of the biggest rule busters for SDA placement, the 6ft seperation and 3ft side wall distances along with 5 inches from the back wall are standard Polk set-up, but its just a starting point.

I think that room is better than where you had them, at least it is dedicated, I would not put my speakers in storage, listen to them, if you like them cool, you might want to work a bit at room acoustics. You could send that pic to Ken Swauger and let him comment, I would put some bass traps in the corner, of course its only going to do so much and the fact that a bigger room would be better cannot be changed.

It's not easy setting them up in most rooms (at least the rooms I've had). The best I'm able to do is 5' apart and 2' from side walls and 9" from rear wall. My "long" walls have doorways in them, so they're out of the question. Still, the sound and imaging is better than any other speakers I've owned.

Can you move the left a bit closer to the side wall so it has the same side wall distance as the right? Might help with reflections. Other thing to try is acoustic tiles on the side walls to absorb as much of the reflection as possible.

I agree with the above quote. I'm a audiophile well that's How I see myself.This is a lot of fun unhooking re-hooking tweaking.To me the speaker System is the most Important link in the chain(I know that's debatable) therefore I will always throw money out there for A good loud speaker system. I also have the Polk 2A's. I like buying speakers.When I was home my dad use to get on to me for spending so much money on Electronics. AT 76 He still does.I'm going to buy some smaller speakers for this room.My 2A's are just for Djing.Yes I'm DJ From time to time. I have two turntables, Mixers,CD Players,Cassette players. MY musical taste is from James brown to Johnny Cash.Thanks Guys for all your help/advice.

The sound stage is great. Ben told me to put then in the corners wow got my sound stage back....you go BEN. That will have to do until I move into a bigger place. I just called KEN at Polk. I have other issues I'm dealing with as well. I got to go and do a little more tweaking.
