The Patriots don't seem so hot with Cassel at the helm. Especially since they lost to a team that two weeks ago was considered an easy win. I will say though that in the few plays I got to catch of that game, the Dolphins looked good. Well, good compared to the last 5 years.

Everybody was raving about Philly's defense stopping the Steelers offense but you know what? The Steelers stuffed Philly pretty well too. 15 to 6 is not exactly an offensive battle but it was a good game nonetheless. However, Philly did not look like a Super Bowl team. Niether did Pittsburgh for that matter. If Philly wants to go to the big show, they gott get the little details together too. Same goes with Dallas.

The Giants, WTF? They go to OT against Cinncinnati? How does the defending super bowl champ do that and only in week 3 with all your star players from last year?

Yeah, the NFC East is a rough division this year but I'm starting to think the top 3 are over-rated and the 'skins are under-rated. I think the Cardinals are under-rated too. But if they are going to make any kind of decent season or hit the playoffs with Warner, they'd better do it soon. He ain't no spring chicken and only has a few more good years left I think. He just doesn't move like he used to on the Rams.

Green Bay was not impressive at all. The Defense did well but if the offense isn't scoring all the D in the world ain't gonna do a hill of beans worth of good. That and both the GB offense and defense looked quite tired at the end of the 3rd quarter.

So what'd you think? How'd you team do?

Oh and, how 'bout dem Cowboys?!?

The thing that worries me most about that Patriots game isn't Cassel and hte offense (though that was bad) but the fact that we gave up so many points and big plays to MIAMI. I took solace that even though we lost Brady, our D could keep us in it.... not looking like that now.

Indy is looking surprisingly mortal.

Those are the only games I got a chance to see, unfortunately.

I'm thinking the Falcons are going to surprise some people this year. Very, very solid performance - albeit against Kansas City.

We suck this year.

Which is amusing, considering we took a tax hike to pay for their pretty new stadium.

I'm with you on this. The trend says the Falcons should win the division (last 4 or 5 winners were worst to first in the NFC South) but realistically the Falcons are looking at 6 or 7 wins in a "rebuilding year." I'll take that all day long. I know everyone says the Birds only beat Detroit and KC, but in the past they would lose or barely squeak by. This year they smoked both of those teams like they should.

How about them Rams !!!

:(

Well, like they say, you can't win every game. And they have won 3 games ........ out of the last 22 ....... so ...... they're trying, right ?

I expect riots in the stands by the fans in another game or two, followed by a lovely tea party on the field by the players. Sort of what the Rams players are doing now.

I've seen some stuff in my time, but gawwwwwd darn, this is the worst team that's ever been fielded in history.

I would like to thank the Rams for building the Seahawks Confidence back up! lol yeah they look pretty horrid. I'm so glad Josh Brown went to them to be on a winning team and not because of the money! haha

Was it just me or does ESPN really, really like this Favre kid? I think him, Korn, and Tirrico could be found spooning after the game.

Yeah, if you read any non-mainstream sports blogs, that's a pretty big running joke. Between the announcers and writers like Peter King, Favre (and to a similar extent Brady and Peyton Manning) get treated like the second coming.

Also, funny picture from last night's telecast :

Yeah... I venture away from si.com and ESPN more often than not. I just think it goes beyond the absurd when a player and his team are having their asses handed to them, and you'd think he was on the field healing lepers.

Its not just you. Its way overboard. They really need to tone it down. Even Steven A Smith makes fun of the rest of ESPN for doing it.

Well, people of Detroit, the day has come that you have all dreamed of but feared would never arrive : Matt Millen (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/8601458/Millen-out-as-Lions-president,-GM) has been fired as GM of the Lions.

31-84 under his control. Wow.

I do agree with most of the first post except for the Cowboys being overrated(fan goggles). They finally did something they were NEVER able to do ever and that is win at Lambeau. There are demons up there i tell ya demons....

I am a fan of the Cowboys but I still think they are over-rated.

They should have pummeled the Eagles and they didn't. Green Bay and their sucktastic tendencies lately put up way too good of a showing too. Both teams are not where their talent pool should have them and honestly, neither are the Cowboys. The Cowboys should be dominating their opponents and they are making too many high school mistakes and penalties to do that. That is not super bowl level play. If they get rid of the penalties, they would be unstoppable.
