Anyone know anything about these? I was doing some deep CL searching and found these: Top of the Line Epicure (http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ele/843751802.html) They look nice, can't find much about them anywhere.
I sent an inquiry.

What I need to do is get a preamp and a new amp before I go chasing more curiosity speakers. I think my wife might kick me to the curb if I brought another pair home.

Mhardy should be able to provide you with some history. Most EPI speakers will need to be re foamed. I believe there is a company that still supplies parts for Allison, EPI and OHM speakers.

Here's the link I was looking for

Is it the "Epicure 1" -

If it is, I suspect that they are very nice sounding speakers. I had the Epicure 2's and loved them. I passed them on to my nefew and he still has them (re-foamed, of course). They were easy to drive, smooth, accurate, and an all-around good speaker.

Good speakers. EPI (Epicure Products Inc.) called their better line of speakers Epicure; their cheaper speakers, EPI. They used a (then) unique concave dome tweeter and their own woofer. The woofer had well-behaved HF breakup modes, and was allowed to run free, with a first-order XO (at least on the EPI line) to the tweeter; fairly high I think.

Everyone who collects New England-style loudspeakers should have a pair of EPIs, Epicures, or Genesis Physics speakers.

Thanks for the info:D Now I have to figure what to move out. Any idea where they would fit pecking order wise with my current speakers: Paradigm 11Se Mk II, Monitor 10A, Monitor 5B (these are all in a strictly 2ch set up).

Or should I just stick with whats I got and work on other upgrades...
