Anyone ever hear the Klipsch RT-10d sub?
I'm wondering how it would sound compared to the SVS PB-13Ultra....
I'm thinking one of these two will be my next sub within the next year.

The higher end Klipsch subs are very good. I haven't heard this model, but looking at the specs, the only advantage I see over the Ultra is footprint. The Ultra will dig deeper and play louder. I suspect the U13 is more linear too, based on the AVtalk and Ilkka tests (haven't seen Klipsch numbers, but I've seen nothing as linear as the PB13). Again, looking at the spec sheets, I'd think the RT 12D would be a closer match.

I'm really liking that U13 sub!! I was also looking at the Epik with the 18" woofer - seems like it would get a little sloppy though with it having such a big woofer.....

There's nothing sloppy about the Conquest. A friend has a pair of Ultras and a Conquest. It took him months to tame the Conquest with finally an Antimode 8033 (?) and traps. It's still very close and he wouldn't give me an definitive answer about SQ, but I got the impression he preferred the C over 2Us. Then he up and bought a Submersive (still haven't heard on that one). Anyway, my feeling about the Conquest vs Ultra is that out of the box in most rooms, the Ultra will shine. Stellar output, great SQ. The Conquest needs space to breathe. Under 4K you're going to get monster bass, but spend some time and money getting it just right. Plus the damned thing is 36" tall and 30" deep weighing in at least 260lbs. The 155lb Ultra is more than a pain to move around. Tempting as the Conquest is, it's just too much for me.
