My monster Svs PB Ultra and Plus subs don't match my HT any longer. How insane would I be to refinish them in black? How hard would it be?

If you are looking for the high gloss piano black type of finish then it is very labour intensive.

You need some basic wood working skills. Most probably, the boxes are covered with wood veneer. You'll need to strip current finish and refinish it with the one you desire. If you are careful enough you may even be able to keep the original veneer ;)
