OK, I have 2 pairs of SR6500's (F & R's) in my Accord and at lower volumes i hear virtually little to no sound from the front speakers (even though I have them set to F06 on the fade). When I turn the volume up I obviously get more sound then it sounds more even between the front and rears.....

Is there anything that I can really do to get the sound boosted at lower volumes in the front? Is that something I need to adjust on the amp? Not having looked at the amps for a while, I have no idea if there are separate gains for each channel or whatever......

One downside to the way these were installed is that the Tweet and Mid's are in the lower door panel, so I know I'm not going to hear as much compared to the tweet being in the dash, but I wasn't in the mood to have someone else put the tweet up there......lol......

It is your added trunk loading and rear glass reflection gain that makes your rears louder. Gain adjustments on the amps or fader should help. Try for a fat front with rears simply used to fill in the gaps of sound. Your fronts being in small door cavities are no match for the trunk space for bass loading.

Also try turning your tweeter down in the rear at the crossover. Upper frequencies are easier to locate.

or the rear speakers have a higher sensitivity

Are you using the factory, or aftermarket HU?

Check the gains on the amp(s). Make sure the front gain is set higher than then rear gain.

I'm sure it has to do with the gains......just have to find some time to do that....fun.

I'm not saying I hear nothing from the fronts.......just that at lower volumes the front is barely noticeable, but when things are turned up is when I hear them more (albeit due to a +6 F setting).........
