I have seen Sunfire alot on this site, I myself enjoy them.
My question is how would the Anthem Avm 50 stack up against Sunfire processors.. Not knowing much about Anthem except being highly rated, is the price worth it.

Look at the features not the name. Whichever one has what you want, that is the one you should get.

Actually I see you already have the Sunfire. Is it NOT doing what you want it to do? If so why the contemplation of switching?

Thats a great question. The sunfire is fine. Just an impulse to get something newer 06. I just did get the Sunfire 5400 amp. The Sunfire hold's it's value, but it loses value in time. As i said just an impulse.
I will compare the features and consider the differences.
Thanks as always for your comments. By the way that 5400 is a-- kicking.

I looked at both as well and ended up going with Anthem. Happy with the call; the build quality is good as are the sonics. The Sunfire is a sexy unit though.

 Men! Sexy looking has NOTHING to do with it. It's well built, has great features, and does what it is supposed to do.

Just admit that you went with the Anthem because of the name & price, not because the Sunfire was somehow inferior.;)

Actually the Anthem name and price meant nothing to me when I made the deal. I simply liked the Anthem performance and was impressed with the build quality. I got an OK deal and it has performed flawlessly ever since.

My main hesitation with the Sunfire had to do with previous bad experience with Carver gear. Carver was a great designer with many great ideas; however from my personal experience the build quality always sucked; it was hugely disappointing. I had similar issues with the first Sunfire subwoofers as well.

Odd’s are Sunfire may be totally immune these days; however build quality is important to me and in this regard Anthem does a very, very nice job. If in doubt remove the cover and have a look some day.

Thanks to all for your comments. I am thinking positive regarding the Anthem. But i must say i have no problem with the Sunfire which i use now. This indeed is a fine unit. My impulse for the upgrade is just me, i like change. I have read all the articles for the Anthem and i am just curious regarding it's preformance. I have not heard a one bad thing about it.
As i have said earlier there are a lot of Sunfire owners on this site and that is why i posted the question. I hope no one feels bad for comments regarding it's proformance. And cfrizz sorry about the comment about the Sunfire being sexy. I myself don't know what that means. Thanks again to all, i will keep you posted. doug
