I see my local authorized dealer has the PSW1000 for $499 bucks now. I have the LSI 15's for my front and the LCi for the center and looking to replace my old PSW450. Do you think I will hear the difference between the two subs if I upgrade here. I listen to music 80% and movies 20%. For this price i don't think i can get a better sub to upgrade my system.

ANy thoughts?

Thanks
Ed

I'd go for the Epik sub over the PSW1000. Sealed sub with excellent reviews.

I ordered the PSW1000 from Crutchfields on Saturday. They matched the $499 price and FREE delivery and no tax keeps with within my recession budget...

Well I recieved the psw1000 and it arrived damaged. Poor packaging the box was dropped on the top left side. I've tried it out but there was noise coming from the left side. Not sure if configured it wrong or damaged.....might try the SVS PB12-plus next for $999 preorder.

With the new lower prices available with the PSW1000, I purchased two for bass enhancement and use them along with a pair of LSi9's for my surround speakers which are set on top. The PSW1000's match well musically with the LSi9's. I have LSi25's, LSiC, and a DSW600 up front.

Hey Fish, I would look into HSU or Epik sub's since you are more into music than movies. That SVS is also an excellent sub. Forget the polk subs, no where near as awesome as the 3 I mention.
