Original Soundtrack versus Remastered

Guys which one sound better the original soundtrack or the remastered. Im planning to purchase U2/ Joshua Tree and there are several versions. I need your input on this before making a purchase. Thanks

CD or LP? I have the 180 gram 2 LP remastered and the sound is excellent. I don't have an original LP to compare so I can only vouch for the version I have.

Check out the reviews of the the "remastered" versions on Amazon. The general consensus is even though the music is good, the remastering is one of the worst examples of brick walling ever perpetrated.

I can't find the site at the moment, but someone posted .WAV graphs comparing the original album and the remaster. The remaster looked terrible.

My advice is to listen to it for yourself before you invest in the remastered version.

I always will go for a remastered version over an original. So many originals were done poorly that they sound crappy. But it's a crap shoot either way. Good luck.
