Nice!!
What year is that from?
I had an "older" piece from them, circa 1985, a 40wpc receiver that sounded awesome.
Used it as a garage rig right up until it hit the garage floor one day :( .

It is from either 1978 or 79. A very solid 70wpc, and it sounds like it. Heavy as my ex girlfriend!!!

You guys like this kind of stuff? Drive down here and I'll fill your vehicle for a couple hundred bucks.

Got a power supply that would fit in a SA-8500x? ( their 4-channel beast circa 1975) None of the local wizards want to mess with reviving it for me.

None of those. I did just pay $2.29 a gallon though on my way to pick up a pair of near pristine JBL 4312 studio monitors this morning. Add those to the HLS-810 fronts and center, and the pair of S-38 I picked up last week, and it's JBL week on the 4:30 movie.
Damn good price for gas too.

I just noticed, too, that it looks like it has wood sides?
Reminds me of my dads' old Fisher (Studio Standard?) receiver from 1978-79.
I wish I still had that thing, the tuner knob was like on a flywheel, one good spin and she'd go to the opposite end of the dial!

Yes, it does have wood sides and top. The top slides off if you unscrew 2 tabs on the back of unit. I will take some pics of the sides and inside and post them tonight. I mean MINT condition!! Amazing for being 30 years old IMO
