listening refrence question

I was on craigsub ranking list and they mention steely dan an2 as a musical refrence on several subs for listening .Does anybody know what disc there are talking about Thank ken

2 Against Nature and I think he's using either the SACD or DVD A which is very hard to find. I've got a couple of SD DVD As, Gaucho and Everything Must Go. They are indeed bass reference disks and much easier to find.

I haven't heard 2AN, but I think EMG being fairly new material probably features the cleanest recording. Gaucho is wonderful and the bass, while clean and tight, is a bit fatter (not a bad thing). To judge your sub's musical capability EMG is just as much "a reference disk" as the other two.
