I was so impressed with the performance of my first Velodyne SPL-1200R, that I just had to add another one. After experiencing what a great sub does for 2 channel music enjoyment, the addition of another SPL-1200R will simply be amazing. Hurry up UPS!!!!

I did check out the DD series. Velo's top of the line sub...with a price tag to match. But, seriously after hearing the SPL-1200R & how well it integrated with my system & how fast & musical it is, I'm glad I didn't go with the DD. I couldn't be happier & really couldn't justify the extra $$$$.

What's your thoughts on the Velo SPL1200R Vs SVS PB13 Ultra?

I'm asking because I've been thinking of upgrading my sub to integrate better with my maggies. They need a musical sub that is very fast, tight and clean.

The HSu Uls-15 fits that bill.

Way to go! This should be exciting.

I can relate to the shipping transit delay. I'm still waiting for my Bryston 10B Sub active crossover to arrive to replace a dbx unit.

What's your thoughts on the Velo SPL1200R Vs SVS PB13 Ultra?

When I purchased the Velo SPL-1200R, I was running an SVS 25-31plus cylinder sub. It didn't take too long before the performance between the two was quite apparent. The SVS was quickly packed up & sold.

The Velo is just so musical & fast that it seemlessly blends in with my mains like a glove. The SVS was great w/ HT (as is the Velo) but it just couldn't come close to the Velo with 2 channel music.

I never heard the PB13 Ultra so I can't comment. But I can tell you this, Velodyne wrote the book on subs & man do they know how to make a truly musical, fast sub. I can't wait till my second one arrives!!! :D

Let me know when you upgrade to dual 1500's, I'll take the 1200's off your hands. :D

I'm still waiting for my Bryston 10B Sub active crossover IMO you won't find a better sounding active xover than the 10B.I have the LR version doing the 300hz woofer to mid crossover in my system.

What's your thoughts on the Velo SPL1200R Vs SVS PB13 Ultra?

I'm asking because I've been thinking of upgrading my sub to integrate better with my maggies. They need a musical sub that is very fast, tight and clean. If you take Craigsub's rating as an indication, the PB13 outperforms the DD18 for both HT and music. I've auditioned the DD15 extensively and would have to agree. The Velos can't be made to sound bad, very tight and a tad dry. The Ultra is as tight, even more linear and digs with more authority. For a music only sub though, I'd probably go in another direction. Not that it would disappoint, but it's more than you need.

Rythmik is now selling their pre-built servo subs through Ascend. That's where I'd look for a great music only sub.

That is AWSOME, Although I can't imagine Two velodyne subs together , your house is gonna shake apart. It is gonna Rock. I have a DD15, I recently purchased and it is GREAT for H/T and Music. I love it. The volume will go up to 100 and I don't need any more then 40 it is insane. Not only do you hear the base you feel it. Velodyne makes great subs, let us know how it sounds.

Wonder if anyone had a chance to listen to velodyne's new line of subs call the Optimum series. Suppose to replace the SPL series.

happened to my SPL1000 too, but they'll take care of you. Good tech support and customer service. It's just a pain to box it up and ship it to them.

Not yet EB. My NAD T773 AVR went on the fritz (I use it for both HT & as a pre for 2 channel) & I had to send it in for repair. The speakers started giving off a very audible hum/hiss sound even without any gear hooked up to it. Using the remote & hitting all the different inputs, I would get different results on each input...strange. It might be an internal ground loop problem. Hopefully it'll be back this week.

Yes, Velo has good customer support. I bought my Velo SPL1200 on grey market. It died two years later. I called them and, while I had to pay or repairs (which was very reasonable), they stepped me through the process of removing the class D amp, boxing it up and they sent it back repaired. AND now I'm legal (they added a legit serial number).

Very satisfied Velo customer.
