I currently own the Polk R50 tower speakers for the fronts. There is a great deal at Tweeter on the CSi A4 center channel. Is this too much center channel for the fronts I have. Thanks

No...and it could always be dialed back if it was. But, the correct center for that setup is the CSR. Granted, if you are thinking of upgrading to the RTi line in the future it makes sense to get the A4 now.
by the way, what's the deal on the A4? I'm in the market for one as well...been looking polk direct on ebay (for around $100 shipped).

If we're both referring to the same center channel, Polk ebay direct has it for buy it now for $149 plus $20 shipping for Refurbished. The retail on the CSi A4 is $279 and Amazon has it for $249. Please double check that you have the correct model# center channel. Thanks

I'm following the same auctions. Waiting out the bids to see if it can be had for less than the Buy It Now minus the 25 live search cashback.

When I had r50s in front, Polk recommended the CS2. I bought it and it matched extremely well because the drivers are the same size.

Thanks, the cs2 is half the price and might be the right fit. Although if I can get the A4 for like $120 I'll spend and upgrade my fronts in the future if its too much. I'll see what the ebay bids are before deciding. Thanks again

Actually, the CS2 is the bigger speaker. I believe the CS1 would be the more accurate comparison to the A4.

I think your right. I was thrown off because Circuit City has the CS2 for like $85 right now.

The Cs2 is superior to the Cs1 and now is a good time to buy. Don't underestimate the importance of the Center Channel.
Having said that, if there is a chance that you will upgrade your fronts, the A4 is a probably the safer bet because it is timbre matched to the Rti/RtiA line. So if you upgrade to Rti line you won't have to sell your center, which is what I had to do.:(

CSi5 is essentially the the same speaker and would work just as well. You should be able to get one for around $200.

Is it much better than my Infinity Entra center? It sounds pretty good to me, plus I really do not need to spend the $$

I've got a cherry cs2 that I used a couple of months before I upgraded. It's available, if you are interested.

Probably just going to buy from Amazon for $130 new or see the best deal on Polk Direct on Ebay, thanks
