for a while anyway.
I got a pair of LSI F/X installed today so I've finished up my 5.1 system. All LSI, 15s a C and now the F/X. I wasn't sure about handling the weight to put them on the wall so I unhooked the 15s and plugged up the F/X and played a little 2 channel for a while this afternoon. They sound good new so I'm sure they will sound better as they wear in.
Now I have to figure out how to get the 5.1 to work right from my Blu-Ray player.
Humm... do I need to get bigger sub??

What do you have now, how big is your room and how loud do you typically listen?

I will say that if you are asking the question, the answer is almost always yes though....:D

Congrats on the new system. Enjoy it,

Michael

I don't need a new sub. Just looking for something to put on that 'I Want List'.
The next I really want to get is a new AVR or processor. I've got my name on the pre-sell list for the Emotiva UMC-1.
I'm just going to have to see what money looks like when they come out.

ditto to Motzart's post. It's an expensive hobby. Put an Epik sub on your wish list (I own a knight). You will be amazed how it wakes up your rig.

congrats on system. I just put together my first system. I chose polk because I always liked their sound at friends' homes. Was going to do a 2 speaker stereo system. that lasted about a week and i ended up with a 3 speaker system. 2 lsi25s and an lsiC. Have an anthem 3 channel amp (to make sure I can't add more speakers, not without getting another amp anyway), and an outlaw 990 processor. The processor really improved the music quality, especially from my mp3 files. I was told it was the DAC and circuitry. Anyway, my temptation was to avoid getting your setup, with fx for surround. I really like the bipole configuration, that way you can put em in corners and the whole room is covered. At the theatre room where I auditioned a 7.1 LSI system, it was perfect. Don't think a sub will add that much to your lsi15s, which have their own powered subs with crossover and volume control to boot. I would put my money on a processor as you are contemplating. why the emotiva? I am new to audio, but just went by value and saw that with outlawaudio.com you get alot for your money.

I already have an Emotive amp so getting a processor from them was a logical choice for me. They offer great bang for the buck, good customer service and get good reviews too. Most of their new lines will be out in the next couple of months and there are long lines waiting on some of their products.
Check them out: http://emotiva.com

I am all for value. I checked emotiva briefly and I have to say they are stylish. With all the firmware updates needed nowadays, question comes to mind. is it better to buy new line quick as you can, or prior models when they become or soon to become replaced? I used this argument to convince myself to settle for existing models (outlaw coming out with new model too). figured all latest patches already installed and i won't have to mess with it. besides, this way, you have an upgrade to look forward too :)

I heard the wait for the Epiks are until after new yr with everything being sold out. I'd go for the SVS at that point, the new PB12 Plus or Ultra.

Congrats on a nice system and enjoy the LSi setup.
