I been reading that Class D amplifiers are going to come down in price and become more common. Apparently Icepower and D2Audio are making strides.
Do other people agree with this?
Specifically, does anybody know anything about the B&K AV 100.2's? It is a 2 channel Class D Amplifier that can put 200 w/channel into 4 ohms and seems to have pretty good specs (at least for us mid level guys). It is much more efficient that the normal Class amplifiers and thus doesn't need the big heat sinks. It only weighs 7and a half pounds compared with others that weigh more than 20 lbs. It runs a lot cooler too. Any reasons to avoid it? B&K is a good name.

B&K could be using ICE power modules or the UCD Modules from Hypex http://www.hypex.nl/classd/UcD180.pdf I have some of these modules and they sound surprisingly good.

I'm pretty sure they're not ICEpower. Could be Hypex.
