Just thought I would post up a few pics of my build, its not quite done, I'm going to make a cover for the stuff in the trunk, cut a hole in the factory liner and reinstall, I'm also going to add another layer to my speaker baffles and get them more on axis with the driver and make custom grills for the front speakers.....
the coolest thing about this build is I actually have more trunk space now, the stock system had a 10 inch sub in the trunk on the drivers side wheel well.
it sounds great and I know as I tweak things it will sound even better. I used a PAC audio adapter and the stock nav head unit, sound is nice and clean, I had to do some fiddling with the wiring to get it that way but I'm happy now, tons of volume too, I have the sr6500 gains set at about 10 o'clock and the sub about the same and I'm only going about half way on my head unit volume for loud playing, 2/3's is really, really loud to my ears.

thanks to everyone for their help!

I wanted to ask if there is anything I should do to break them in or rather anything that is bad for them, I've been playing at a descent volume, enough to think to my self that these speakers get louder than I expected (for a sq speaker and not really knowing what to expect). I'm bassically just making sure that they don't distort but I've shown them off a few times and cranked them and turned up the bass boost some on the sub.
I guess I'm just a little taken back by the volume, mid bass and highs produced, I've heard people comment on these speakers not being loud but they sound very loud to me and I don't know if I'm just pushing them too much or simply not used to a nice sound system.
is there a simple way to measure output and see if I pushing their limits, will they distort and give warning of impending doom? I have my gains set below 11 o'clock and I've not turned my volume over 26 of 38, my pac audio adaptor is supposed to put out 5v and I've been told its a pretty hot signal.

Looks good for a first time build. My first build sucked in comparison. Is that fiberglass?

I bought a pair of the sr5250 but never managed to get anything together. They will be up for sale soon. Sweet ride by the way.
