View Full Version : [For Sale] Monitor 10As/ Peerless/ orig Stands. 7As/with Peerless
Monitor 10As without grills, but with the famous Peerless tweets and fused termination block. Sound great. I'd rate them @ 6.5 0f 10, only due to grills missing. HB27 may be able to get clean grills for them for a reasonal price. All original, except one mid was replaced with an officially reccommended Polk replacement mid directly ordered from Polk by me($48). Come with attached original Polk stands. Pick up only or short delivery can be arranged for exact fuel cost. $100
Pics upon request.
Also have an excellent Pair Monitor 7As w/ Peerless tweets and fused terminal blocks in 7.5/10 rating only due to age. I bought them from the original owner and are, by far, my favorite vintage Polk other than SDAs. Sound great on tubes or with tube pre and ss amp combo. Will throw in some decent oak stands. Pick up only or short delivery can be arranged for exact fuel cost. $175.
RTA 8TLs in light oak finish. 8.5 of 10 condition. Second owner. One of the most underrated RTA. Image great and are great with tubes(ran mine with as little as 20wpc with ASL Wave 20s. Pick up only or short delivery can be arranged for exact fuel cost. $150

You can get grills real cheap for the 10's. The parts alone are worth more than you are asking.

I'm pretty interested in the 10's.
How far are you willing to drive?
I live about and hour and a half south of Harry...

I'm about the same distance N.E. of Harry, so we could meet at Harry's if you like or in that vacinity. I'm sure we can make arrangements. I'm about 15 miles south of Muncie, just right off Interstate 70E.

Let me sleep on it..
This is pretty much an impulse buy. I have absolutely no need for them.
I'll let you know tonight or tomorrow.

Opps. I forgot. I owe another polk member some money for a LSi-c.
So I'm gonna have to pass...

I don't think one could find a finer example of the RTA 8TLs, unless they were still new in the box.

I heard those 7A's and they are the reason I have a pair of 7's with peerless. You will not get a pair of better sounding speakers for twice or even three times that price.
Good luck with your sale Noel.

ND13, which sounds better the monitor 10's or 7's.

Noel, if they are still available, I commit to purchase the 7a's.

I'll give ya a ring.
7As sold to Rich.
Sale pending on 10As to a friend of HB27.
Harry,
I take it that your friend is backing out?
Halo has dibs on the RTA 8TLs for now.

Dude,
I'm sorry i just noticed your post. I prefer the 7As any day of the week, but the 10As have their attributes too...bass and sheer power. The 10s just won't image like the 7As. That side by side mid arrangement smears the soundstage a bit. Great R&R speakers with a great tweeter.
I take it that the 10As and the RTA 8TLs are still available since I haven't heard from either in a few days.
10As reduced to $90
RTA 8TLs reduced to $135

Are the tweets in the 8's a tad different?
