View Full Version : Running out of room on your PS3?

Was looking around at different mods that can be done to the PS3 (getting my kids one for Christmas) and found this. Between my two kids I know the space on the hd that comes in the PS3 will run out pretty fast. Thought some of you might be interested in this. I know I am going to mod it right away for my piece of mind.

Not the games but full movies,lossless audio storage,random vids, my kids cds,my wifes cds and the list goes on and on. Between my 2 kids they have so many movies and cds they want to add between them even the 80 gig hd is WAYYY to small. Thinking ahead this time as I remember our X-Box hd was full the first day.

I like to tinker around with my stuff (2 channel) but for my wife and kids, they like their music and movies to be ALL there for easy access.

Not trying to be a douche bag, but this has been known since they released the ps3. That is why when I tell people that are looking at buying a ps3 not to get caught up in hard drive space. I bought a 20gb ps3. I know eventually I will need to get a larger hard drive, and its an easy swap out. Glad to see you researched it. That is one of the great thing's about the ps3 that you cannot do on the 360 without possible legality issues from M$.
