so the setup in my sig is my current set up. i have the chance to get a 12" SR new for prob under 200 bucks.... how much of a diff will i notice?

No question - get the SR sub. The SR12's are one of the best subs on the market. You wont be disappointed.

600 watts good for a SR 12?

Its not ideal but it will work. 800 would be my target wattage.

I'm gonna second that because I'm putting about 705 watts to each of mine and sometimes feel they would like me to give 'em some more.
