And if you think that is bad - Shia Labeuf to play Robin?!?!?! http://www.clicksmilies.com/s1106/wuerg/vomit-smiley-001.gif
I hate this guy. He looks like a 12 year old girl! Worked ok as a panzy little nerd in Transformers, was an absolute joke as Indiana Jones' son. Can only imagine how much he's going to SUCK as Robin. Besides, I was hoping they never include the character Robin in these awesome new movies at all.
Ive read some places that claim these are BS rumors so Im really hoping that is the case.

I guess Eddie is trying to break that 'family safe role' he's been in the past couple of years?

Oh god... Eddie Murphy in a fat suit talking to animals. The way I always envisioned The Riddler.
Shia really isn't that much of a stretch for Robin. The whole "12 year old girl thing" may actually work as an asset. Just no bat suit nipples for the love of God.

Christopher Nolan already said, if he took on the 3rd installment there would be no Robin. Also, all of the cast is pure speculation at this point. It is just people spreading rumors.

This is like the rumor going around a while back that P. Diddy was going to be the next James Bond...I don't see it happening.
Just like I don't see Eddie Murphy as the riddler happening...lol...I just can't see him in a role that doesn't portray him as a family man anymore, after his last few movies.

Zero credibility from that rumor. It was started by a British tabloid. Also, they haven't even signed on to do another Batman movie yet, so there's no talk of who will play what villians at this point, other than these types of rumors. And secondly, Nolan has said he hates the character of Robin and it will never be used in any of his movies.
As for characters if and when they do make another one...Johnny Depp as the Riddler or Phillip Seymour Hoffman as the Penguin would be sweet. I hope they don't bring back Catwoman...she's been in enough movies already. If they do though, Angelina Jolie might not be a bad choice.

Obviously not true, but let me use this as an excuse to rant : Eddie Murphy sucks.
Seriously, has Eddie Murphy done ONE decent movie in the past.... 15 years? Maybe some decent VO work for Shrek, and I heard Dreamgirls was good but never saw it, but aside from that, look at his IMDb page (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000552/). It's all either kids movies or complete garbage like Norbit. The guy is a joke. Good will from Beverly Hills Cop is running pretty thin at this point.

Riddle me this, Bobman. Eddie Murphy as Norbit vs. Robin Williams as Patch Adams. Whose cuisine would reign supreme?

Im with Bobman. Eddie Murphy was damn near a comic genius back in the 80's. Delirious and Raw were just hysterical! 48 Hours and Another 48 hours were also great. Beverly Hills Cop was very good and I even liked The Golden Child. Then he came out with that terd Boomerang and its been downhill ever since.
Kinda like Metallica - ruled in the 80's with legions of fans that would die for them. Now? Eh. Who cares.

I'll agree with that...Some of Eddie Murphy's older movies were hilarious. Metro was great...all of the Beverly Hills Cop movies. He's went downhill though...
I don't even consider Metallica to be a band anymore...they no longer exist in my mind. Their older stuff was great...some of the best hard rock ever IMO, but after The Black Album they just died...Even The Black Album was pretty "lackluster" compared to their earlier stuff though.
