Need confirmation that the only difference between the LSi 9 and LSi 15 is the built in sub.

Any NAD owners know if they have HD audio (True Dolby). Do you feel it necessary to use an amp to drive 9's or 15's. What is their most reasonably priced model that can meet this configuration without buying an amp?

Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas.

Different crossover points as well. (since there is no 8" woofer in the cabinet) Also different internal cabinet dimentions. So in general - they are two different speakers with the same drivers. (and a very similar sound)

Thanks for the input McLoki. I am a newbie and do not know anything about crossover points and significance. Also see you are using an amp with your NAD. Any NAD input per my original post would be appreciated. How do NAD receivers compare to Oink 706?

Welcome Murray & Merry Christmas.

Yes it is very necessary to drive the LSI series with a separate amplifier. The vast majority of receivers aren't designed to do so & will over heat & go into protect mode.

They need at least 200wpc to operate to their full potential. Do a search here on the forum. This has been talked about extensively.
