Last week i came across this store World Wide Stereo about 30
miles from me never knew about it. Most of the stuff is Big dollar
but checked out the C-500s on sale for $175.00 each sounded
great in store and with a 30 day return i told the wife thats what
i want for christmas. And i got them.
Started out with my adcom GTP-500 and GFA-555II sounded great
but maybe lacking a little in the high department. Now i have a audiosource
pre/tuner from the garage hook up and sound pretty dam sweet.
For the type of music i listen to they blow away my RTi10s. They
sure seem to take much more then the 10s. And they go way low
no need for a sub. They recomend about 100 hours to break in
maybe i will put them in the garage and just let them play. I think
i may be happy with these for a while. For the price i think its a
great buy.

Energys have a laid back treble for sure, but it will grow on you--especially with poorly engineered recordings. Tonally, they remind me of AR's in their heyday.

Well day 2 and i think these speakers are keepers. I have been playing
with them all day moving them around the roomi have them about
10' apart and they fill the room with authority. They come with port
blockers but did not try them yet. I hate to say it but bye bye 10s.

I hate to say it but bye bye 10s.

It doesn't take a lot of speaker to beat out the 10's. Glad you're diggin' the energy.

Those look nice. Let us know what you think after the break in. Looks like a lot of speaker for a decent price.
