Hi Everyone....
I have no idea if this is the correct place to post this question but here goes anyway: Are there any of you out there that update/rebuild the crossovers in the SDA-SRS speakers? I am an idiot when it comes to being able to do this myself and frankly don't have the knowledge or skills that most of you have. I would like to find someone that could do this for me. If you have any suggestions, price, etc. I would appreciate your help. I own the original SDA-SRS model and am only interested in updating the crossovers and retaining the original components.
Thanks!

and one huge update to the original SRS's are replacing the 8 SL2000 tweeters with the newer more kinder gentler RD0-194 tweeters. if you order them, tell the customer service person you are a club Polk member for a nice discount on the price.
I did this update when i had my SRS's. it's a must do in my book. ;) replacing the tweeters is the easiest thing you can do.. no soldering required ;)

I think they run about $48 each X 8 = $$ but a very worthy update. :D

Can you solder at all because you have to have some soldering skills to remove and reinstall the crossover boards.

Hi F1nut!!
I can solder but again I am not of the skill level as many of you are....honestly, I would rather have one of you guys do the work. I can get the boards out and shipped to whomever will do the deed and then put back in when they are returned to me. And, I will most likely go ahead and upgrade the tweeters since many folks on here say it is worth doing. Looks like Ben is the one that is being recommended and his contact info was forwarded to me AND he has looked at this thread so I know he is aware that I am looking for someone to do the crossovers so it is a matter of one of us getting to the other first.... Honestly, my desire to get this done is because I have decided that these speakers are going to be the pair to keep. I have a pair of Platinum Amazings but I am sick and tired of having problems with ribbons. I love the sound of the Amazings but I can't seem to have any luck with the ribbons having a major problem twice in the last 3 years or so. I am ready to get rid of them and get the big Polks tweeked and make them my main listening pair. Thanks guys for all of the responses!

Hey Lasareath...
The contact numbers for Ben resulted in one being disconnected and the other being the wrong number according to the lady that answered. I did e-mail Ben so hopefully he will get back with me. Again, thanks for your help.

Hey guys...
Ben and I got in touch. I was impressed...he made me feel comfortable with the job I need done on the crossovers. There must be several of you that have had him do work for you so thanks for your help in suggesting him!
