To remove or not??

I just purchased and installed some TC65i in-wall speakers as surrounds. The grilles had a thin layer of fabric? on the inside. It seemed to be adhered fairly well to the grille. Should I remove the fabric or should it stay?? :confused:

Has no one else had this on their speakers? Just wondering if it affects the performance at all.

I have not had that exact speaker but I did have the TC60i in-ceiling speakers in my last house. The fabric should be left on, I don't have the paper work any more but I seem to remember the manual mentioning this. If in doubt you can always call Polk customer service.
