what kind of speakers are they? Towers or bookshelf? placing them closer to a wall will usually increase the bass.... but some times it becomes boomy that way. sometimes also, replacing old speaker wire will help. Look for a 12 or 14 guage wire if your binding posts can accept wire that large.
