View Full Version : Looking for Calendar Software

I'm looking for a simple calendar program that will allow me to track what people are doing. I am going to be managing a small real estate company and we need to keep track of where people may be for a given day. It's only a couple of people, so I am looking for something real simple. Basically they were going to hang a calendar on the wall and write what they are doing on it, but I feel it would be better in software form (of course).

If anyone has any suggestions, it would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Paul.

Will everyone have web access? How about this free online calendar?

Microsoft Outlook. You can set up multiple calendars and make them public so anyone can view them. We use that at work with a LOT of calendars and it's pretty sweet.

You can also go with the google route. Everyone would need a gmail account but you can do calendar, documents sharing, etc..

I say a calendar on the wall. It simplifies things...it doesn't crash, it doesn't cost an arm and a leg...and it just works.

My family runs a tree trimming business with three seperate crews, and we have the same problems. You've gotta know where everyone is at and at what time. We tried using a calendar software...I forget which one, but we only used it for about 6 months...and it aggravated all of us. Now we're back to having a calendar on the wall. It's right there on the wall for anyone to reference, it costs about five bucks, doesn't use any electricity or anything, and in the event of your computer crashing...your calendar is still on the wall.

That's just my .02 cents though. Software may work out better for your needs. Really though, there is no need for it. It's not more efficient by any means in my experience.

Instead of trying any softwares, I would recommend you to use an online calender service from XnYnZ.com (http://www.xnynz.com/calender-tool/) where you can store your appointments, meetings and tasks etc.. You can use this calender as an individual (or) group purpose too. This may share the meetings, files between the group members. This calendar get works in Iphone, Ipad and Android smart phones. This cost only at $14.99 per year.

I'd go with google. The simplicity of sharing multiple calendars online is amazing. If you integrate in gmail and google drive, its a powerful system.

Outlook probably has more functionality, but for basic needs, google should suffice.

Post from symonds reported. Also, I think that the OP has probably solved their problem at some point in the four years since they originally asked the question.

I was going to say use either Outlook or Google. Both are easy to sync, capable of being shared on a network, can ping your phone, etc.
