So i think i'm going to just go for it and order the A9's. Can anyone recommend some good modestly priced amps that would work well with these? And also some places to buy them? I might as well start looking now.

Other gear i'm running is as follows:

CSi A6
RTi A3
Pioneer Elite 92

How do you like it?
I just looked on the Emotiva website, and the XPA-3 is on sale for $499. That's cheaper then i was expecting one of these things to be.

Oh nice nice, you must be excited! :D

Yeah definetly chime back in with your impression on the Emotiva after you have spent some time with it, it would definetly be appreciated. At the price that thing is going for i'd be able to get it not to long after i get the A9's.

Does anyone else have any suggestions for modestly priced amps, or experience with the one sandworms got?

Just keep in mind that is a Sale price. Wont stay that low forever. (Not sure when the sale ends though)

If your going to go Emotiva I would wait on the XPA-5 to get back in stock. Also look at Rotel.

Could i still use my Pioneer Elite 92's MCACC (auto calibration) having the fronts hooked up to an external amp?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but i'm trying to learn.:o

You would redo the mcacc once the amp is installed. On my 94thx w/xpa-5 combo the levels where almost identical.
