Not worth it for that slow, early generation, player. Better off spending a few bucks more for a newer Sony or new Panny.

For now I will as well. A bit embarassing when Im about to showcase Bluray to someone unfamiliar with me and my background is Metal Gear Solid 4 as my 'Bluray Player' boots up :) I should just keep the default background ...

LOL!! I suggest you to download "DarkBlue" PS3 theme, (i dont remember which site but u can google) and use default background. itll make icons and default background blue.. it is sweet looking theme.

ok, back to the topic, i suggest this for people who cant afford better blu-ray system. you cant go wrong with sony blu-ray player at this price.

Death to eCost. My roommate tried to buy a tv from them, said it was instock when he buyed it, got an email saying it was backordered, and finally got a message a week later that his order was canceled. Took ANOTHER THREE WEEKS for them to refund his money.

Not saying this is the case all the time, but Buyer Beware.

I have only used E-Cost one time....when I got one of my Belkin PF-60`s
No problems....

Didn`t realize that the BR advertised was a slow starter.....learn somethin everyday !!
I think the Sony website has good deals now and then....I got my 350 for a great price from there

I just got a mailer for Ultimate Electronics. They are selling the BDP-S550 for $249 this Thursday..
