my DAC has 1 analog out. i have a headphone amp and my marantz...can i use a Y connector here without issue? now, is not a problem. i can reach the cables easily. soon will be in a more difficult cabinet....thanks;)

There shouldn't be any if you get some quality Y's.

that's the ticket!;) ben will also be doing my XOs. i guess interconnects, too. just never quite done, are we???:D

I heard a night & day difference when i switched from Phoenix Gold Y's to Ben's Y's, I couldn't believe it, so I swapped them 5 times and then I just threw the Phoenix Gold Y's into one of my Junk drawers!
I guess the next step above ben would be MIT Y's, But they start at $399 each!!!!!!

Thats what I would do. Why add another set of interconnects to the mix, just adding cost and potentially a decrease in sound quality.
These (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103638) are what I use for adapters when I need some.
