I've recently got on this kick of matching all my speakers. I've got a CSi30 in the center, and two RTi28's up front with some old Bose in the back. I'm planning on getting rid of the Bose, but I'm not sure what to replace them with. On the Polk site, it suggested RTi28's up front and in back along with the CSi30.

Should I go with another pair of 28's as my surrounds or move my current 28's in back and go get those R30 floorstanders I've had my eyes on.

I would suggest to stay in the RT line. If your budget is tight then get RTi38 or RTi28 upfrount. Otherwsie look for RTi70 floorstanders.

Get the RTi70 if you can.
I have these with the CSi30 ctr and it sounds great..
ALTHOUGH, when pushed REALLY hard the CSi30 cannot keep up
with the RTi70.....IMO
I just do not have room for the big CSi40, If I did that would be
my center in a heartbeat....

(2) RTi70, (1) CSi40, (2) FXi50, and (2) RTi28 - an excellent 7.1 set-up. Keep the silk dome tweet all around - definitely.

I have the RTi70's and they do a great job even without a sub, although matched with my psw404 its a complete package, I also have the csi40 and rti28's as surrounds and the whole system makes me happy now, although i will be thinking of fx surrounds and moving my rto28's to the rear some day... I don't think 28's as front mains will bring total happiness:(

I have the RTi38's up front and they make great front/main speakers. You will need a sub with them but I think you need a sub even with the RTi70's. The RTi38's have the same 6 1/2 driver as the CSi40 and RTi70, but only one instead of two. If you want bookshelfs I would get these instead of the RTi28's up front.

If you have the floorspace, the RTi70. If you are limited then definetly go RTi38 for new fronts, move the RTi28's to rear duty. Are you 6.1 or 5.1? I forgot to look......

I would also upgrade your center, if your 6.1 to the CSi40 and move the CSi30 into rear duty.

The aforementioned comment about the CSi30 having some trouble on some movies is correct. Or at least, I have experienced the same thing.
