Memory is so cheap right now, why not just buy new? You can buy faster memory, and it will just run at the speed your dell supports. Something like this:

Yeah, you guys are right. Out of habit I guess. After I posted this, I went to memorysuppliers.com and get some identical Samsung brand that I already had and purchased from them a couple years ago. Price is cheaper 60% from the last time I bought them for. But then, shelf life of this 8400 is approaching EOL, although it runs Windows 7 great.
