what should i do?

just wondering what i should do. here's the deal.

i sold my nad amp to a member here for half down and he would pay the other half in two weeks. we did the deal in person and i've sold to him before so i gave him the benifit of the doubt and trusted him (MY MISTAKE). it's been a few months and no word from him.first i got excuses then nothing the last two months won't even return e-mails and he has my home number too. so should i out him here on the board so others don't get screwed. i want to be nice but hate getting robbed.let me know what you all think.thanks.

no i don't know where he lives. only the city. about an hour or so from me. he's been on here this week talking.

I would warn him that you intend on letting forum members know about this transaction via a pm or something, then give him a week or ten days to clear the matter. If he fails to do so.... then do what You gotta do man

i've sent him a pm here today so we'll see what he has to say if anything. if i don't here from him here then i'll post a thread stating who he is and city he lives in. i'll give him a week or so and then oh'well if it hits the fan then so be it. i just want everybody to know HE has ripped me off and may do the same to others. thanks for your opinions.

Warn him for what? This guy is a dead beat. Should't take that long just to respond. There's a better way for this dead beat to say he doesn't have the money.

I'd give him a day or so to reply to the message you sent him today...and if no response still? Then you bust him out to the rest of us, so no one else get's screwed by him. That's not how business should be done.

Just be assured though, that if he doesn't own up to his end of the deal, karma will come back to bite him in the ass, and no one else on this board will ever do business with him.

I would think that anybody that has been on forum for even a short while knows how we look out for each other and I'm sure he knows what happens next. Even if he's in a bad way he should say so and at least that way you know he will own up as soon as things get better or he should at least give the item back for a refund due to bad times which I'm sure we would all understand.

IMO if it wasn't a deal through the Club Polk FM then it should stay a private matter between the parties. I'm all for justice but I'm not sure a public "outing" on the forum is the right thing to do.

Well, you're the guru, but I don't see why not. Whether or not the guy deserves to be treated respectfully after what he did is debatable (I would say not), but if he is a member here that means he could be doing business in the fleamarket and it's a good thing for everyone to know what kind of guy they are dealing with. It's a valid warning IMO.

oh'well too late now. i had let this go for a long time figuring the holidays and all but i just wanted to let everybody know what he did so hopefully he can't scam anybody on here. i trust most people but it's smooth talkers like him that mess it up for everybody. so because of him i'm a little more cold and bitter. i try to give everybody i deal with a good deal.

You should use this to collect the rest of the money and teach him some manners....sometimes you have to teach the manners first...then the money mysteriously shows up...funny how that always works . :D

Oh, and dont forget to go update his member sales rating ...even if you ever get paid...that deserves a slam rating.

I must respond to this. The REAL reason I did not pay the remaining money to him is I also bought a pair of speakers from him...Polk 10s. When I bought them they had a tear in one of the woofers and I was told you did not even know it was there. Kinda hard to believe since I found it in 30 seconds of seeing the speakers. You said you would look for one to replace it and get back to me. Did you ever get back to me, NO!!!! You also have my email addy,you know I visit this site and phone number as well. I heard nothing.

I did get an NAD amp not to long after getting the speakers from him and payed half up front and agreed to pay half later. I kinda felt dicked over on the woofer deal so as far as I was concerned until I got my woofer you were not getting your money. Guess this could have been resolved if EITHER of use had bothered to get in contact with the other. Now this is public so the gloves are off. When I get my woofer you said you would get to replace the bum one I will pay you the 60 bucks I owe. Until then we are on equal footing......you owe and I owe.
